There is always a special aura that descends upon a venue that hosts sacred cultures blended into distinct styles and genres of music. The feeling is ecstatic, somber and deeply enriching, especially in terms of spiritual nourishment. That is an approximate description of what the World Sacred Music Festival is about. After every three years since 1999, Los Angeles becomes the venue of all the sacred riches of the city, welcoming even other forms of sacred music from cities and nations across the world.
The 16-day sacred music festival facilitates performances, music events and a grand spiritual movement throughout the city of Los Angeles. For this duration, music transcends cultural, ideological and religious boundaries, embalming it wholesomely in the hearts of men with a resounding uniformity. Neighborhood boundaries are crisscrossed and cultures mingled, sacred riches are shared and hearts cajoled. The last edition of the sacred music festival was held at numerous landmark theaters in the city of Los Angeles. The amazing thing is that, some events were hosted in churches and others in temples.

Roskilde festival is the brainchild of Jesper Switzer and his friend Mogens Sandfær. Their promoter Carl Fischer also takes some of the credit for being behind the inspiration that saw the students succeed in their ambitious project. The Roskilde Foundation took over the running of annual events a year after the festival was founded. This foundation is a non-profit organization that supports development of music, humanism and culture in Denmark.
The ,Roskilde festival covers the music trends of Scandinavian youths as well as the contemporary performance trends that prevail throughout Europe. In 2008, the festival attracted over 180 performing bands that performed before a gathering of about 80,000 people. There were about 3,000 artists in the event. In total, there were about 110,000 participants in the festival.
As a matter of tradition, the campsite for summer fun in Europe in Denmark opens early on the last Sunday of every June. This gives guests who come to the festival ample time to settle and get acquainted with the new atmosphere. The festival later kicks off officially at the Animal Showgrounds on the Thursday that follows. Many people refer to this site simply as Festival Site. The festival is on for four days.
 Roskilde Festival 2004 in Denmark - Under Byen Unlike in the 1990s when the summer festival fun attracted only Scandinavians, today, it is more international. The word “Lollapalooza” stems from an American idiom referring to a remarkable person or thing. That is the idea that the event organizer had in naming one of the finest band music festivals of all time. The term insinuates a very large lollipop, the kind that is represented on the logo. Held annually in Chicago, Illinois, the Lollapalooza Music festival is a leading American music festival that has become a world attraction since its debut in 1991. The summer music festival features a variety of music genres, such as hip-hop, alternative rock and punk rock bands while also incorporating comedy performances, craft booths and dance troops. The Lollapalooza music festival has emerged as a summer attraction of late, despite having humble beginnings.
The Lollapalooza festival was born out of the selfless gesture to members of the Jane’s Addiction band. Perry Farrell was inspired by Billy Graham to give his band a farewell tour in 1991 and ended up starting an annual festival for music bands. He partnered with Don Muller, Gardener and Marc Geiger, all of whom were members of the band. The summer festival fun ran consecutively for the next six years before going under for the next six years. When it was revived in the year 2003, the festival began touring all around North America, performing for two days in each city.
