Just bought this for my almost-4-year-old as diversion on a long trip – flight from CA to MI, drive from MI to PA, and then the reverse. He loves the big version and I hoped he’d like this little one.

He does find it entertaining. I think it was best as a back seat car toy – something he could easily hold and play with on his own. As an airplane toy, I actually worried it would be too noisy and annoy other passengers so I only let him play with it on the Detroit to Grand Rapids leg of our trip when we were in the butt of a DC-9 (if you’ve ever been in the butt of a DC-9 you know nothing is too noisy for that sort of flight)

The little plastic balls are kind of jumpy and not super easy to catch and I really wouldn’t call this a 2 person game – I only have one child but when he is with a friend they will take turns with it rather that play together. It’s so small and you need to constantly tilt the game this way and that to make it work right, as opposed to laying it flat like the big version.

All in all it’s not the best toy out there but my son really got a kick out of it on our trip so I do suggest it for preschoolers on a trip. It was about half the price of this in a certain large toy store, though, so don’t get it on line here. Not worth this price, definitely worth the reduced price. You may want more than one if you have more than one kid.

I loved this as a kid, still like it now as an adult. Read the reviews about the flimsy quality and it isn’t as well made as I would like BUT we didn’t have any problems using it, and it is still working 9 months after purchase. It is fun and is small enough for car or plane.

It has no educational value that I could determine.

I really like this game as the marbles are contained and my kids love it too. They wanted the full size one but with a 2 year old I didn’t want the marbles free to roam. I only wish that more than two could play at a time.
