I am delighted with this product, but buyers should beware of at least one unscrupulous vendor who sent me the Fun Factory – not the De Luxe Set. I was charged $ 26 + which is the price of the De Luxe Fun Factory whereas the basic set sells for less than from one vendor and for $ 6.75 at a local drug store. I returned the basic product and got the De Luxe set I ordered from another vendor, also listed on the Amazon site.

My daughter loves the Fun Factory. She could play with it for hours if you let her. I love how it is a more traditional Play-Doh toy. It allows for more imaginative play.

Play-Doh Fun FactoryBig hit with the kids. They were palying with it within an hour of opening presents. Although bought for a 3 yr old, the 16 month old baby was also playing with it and using it correctly.

Upon opening this toy we discovered that there are no instructions. We went to Amazon reviews to see if there were any tips. There were recommendations of pinching, using plyers, etc.

All you need to do is submerge it in a tub of water.

Raise the spout to be higher than the other end and you will see bubbles come out. I ended up blowing air into the large spout then submerging to get more water into it.

When the desired level of water is reached, push out remaining air. There should be “some” air in the water pocket but not too much.

My son got this toy when he was around 6 months old. Our Parents as Teachers advisor told us that pat mats were good for babies development. My son really loves smacking the mat with his hands and crawling around it and watching the toys inside move. I like this pat mat compared to others because it is easy for him to crawl all the way around and explore the whole toy.

In our family, I’m the fun Aunt, who brings all the goodies for the nieces and nephews to play with! We pulled out the Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory this past weekend and most of the kids really enjoyed playing with it.

It was really easy to put together, though not so easy to get out of the box! I would definitely recommend parents putting it together first, then giving it to your children, as you’ll probably spend a good 20 minutes just getting it out.

It’s fairly sturdy, though an overzealous 3 year old is probably going to make a really big mess. The mechanisms are basic (small stamps press into the Play-doh and make a shape), but I did find that some of the Doh gets stuck up in the mechanics and I can see it being hard to clean.

The older children loved playing with it and found it easy to use and were off making things by themselves in just a few minutes. The conveyor belt moves via battery, which is really cool and simple to execute. The younger ones (3 and 4) were a bit perplexed and did need some help.

Overall, I really liked the toy and think it would make a great gift for the 5-7 year old set. My one major “con” is in the size of the Play-doh containers. The toy actually holds 6 containers, but they are very small and the Play-Doh doesn’t go very far at all. I would highly recommend having some additional larger containers on hand.

Our 3 year old daughter loved this toy! She was already a fan of Play Doh and has other Play Doh toys and this new one fit right into the collection.

Compared to the other toys, this one is more advanced and simply does more (note- this will require two C batteries). Setup was a breeze (about 3 minutes). The set comes with a mat, which many parents will fully appreciate at cleanup time.

This toy kept our daughter’s attention for about 70 minutes the first time. Today, she played with it for about an hour but would not let us put it away because she said she wanted to use it later (the toy stores Play Doh and can be put back into the box easily.

The one thing that bothers me is the price. Seems a little high for the toy but I am not sure if this is temporary. I would recommend this toy at the .00 range.

I will update this review in about one month to cover durability and whether the toy retains the interest of our daughter.

Large & akward…Not easy to inflate, deflate, or drain. My daughter (3 years old) loves to play in this thing, but it’s not the most user friendly toy we have. She weighs only 32lbs & if she gets too rough while playing in it, the flimsy air spouts pop out & the things they climb under deflate. Of course, the air spouts are in the bottom, so you can’t reinflate them while it’s full of water. It “says” it has a drain, but the most difficult place to drain (the small pool behind the slide) doesn’t have anything to drain into the main pool or out of the thing, so you have to lift it…easier said than done for a 7 month pregnant woman. Overall, the product is okay…because my daughter likes it. It’s big enough for a few of her friends to play in, but for something that you’re supposed to blow up with a foot pump, they could have made it a lil’ easier to do. I have an air compressor, but it specifically warns NOT to use it or it could split a seam. Even if you could empty the water out completely, it’s too large to leave inflated unless they use it every day. Gets dirty easily, but not easily cleaned.

My son like this verymuch but here are the problems.

1. not very deep, maybe for safety reasons

2. is too large for 1 person to handle when full.

3. burns a large area of your lawn unless you empty and fill daily.

4. too hard to blow up without a compressor which they tell you not to use for fear of busting the seams.

5. after blowing up in the heat of the sun makes certain section “wilt” making you think it needs more air but just does not stay “stiff” enough to be any real fun.

6. too large to let air out and store on a daily basis, we will break down and probably never use again.

These balls did not retain there “round” shape from the minute my 2 1/2 year old daughter played with them. The balls have that “smashed in” appearance and you cannot get them back to the original shape. I purchased these balls to add to the ball playland made by the Moose Mountain Toymakers, Ltd that I purchased for my daughter for Christmas. The balls that were included with the ball playland have retained their shape, unlike the balls I purchased separately.

My only real gripe about this product is that these balls are inconsistent in quality – some are made of thicker material than others. But that’s not really a problem, for me anyway.

These are, whichever way you look at them, thin plastic balls. They will crush, ding, dent or otherwise loose their perfect roundness if you let anything heavier than say, another plastic ball, collide with them. I mean, would you expect an egg to be able to cope with a three year old child jumping on it? No. It’s an egg.

However!

If this distresses you greatly, you can resurrect them by warming them very gently with a hairdryer. Or as I did, leave them next to a heating vent.

I placed an order for 1000 of these, they arrived in bags of 100, some rectangular bags, some cylindrical bags. The last 300 arrived loose in two boxes (150 balls a piece). I called the manufacturer and they explained why this may happen… They ship bulk. If a box can be filled with 150 balls, it will cost the same as shipping with a bag of 100 balls and the box 1/3 empty. They use common sense – ship more in a box for the same price and SAVE YOU MONEY.

The bags these things ship in are meant to hold plastic balls. They will not hold up well if you choose to constantly pack and unpack them. They will not hold up well if you use them for anything other than storage. I’m thinking I will not want to repack 1000 balls into 10 bags anyway.

This set is fantastic. The stamp/imprint pieces have the numbers 0-9 and all the capital letters. There is nothing to get broken, and it is fun for so many ages. My toddler likes to smush them into the play-doh to make a mark. My preschooler likes to identify letters, write his name, etc. and my grade schooler can be more elaborate with it. I love toys that work with many ages and give a lot of versatility (and don’t have little pieces that break off or electronics that die!)

I keep the letters in one zip lock bag and the numbers in another. The letters are yellow and green and the numbers red and blue so it makes it easy to sort.

It creates a fun experience with letters beyond something stale and forced like a worksheet. I caught them on a sale one time and wished I had picked up extra for gifts!

Somehow, I thought the full thing was bigger. The letters are very small to fill with dough by a three year’s old small hands. My daughter always needs my help to get the dough out of the shapes and the letter in shape. The dough containers are also tiny. But I guess the learning value is the same. She is starting to identify the letters of her name, and a few others, and she likes to play with them despite the fact that she can’t quite make the letters by herself yet. I would definitively like (and make) the letter shapes bigger.

Great size for a 2 year old and takes up little space. It was really easy to put together (with the right tools). I do expect it to be a family heirloom for grandchildren’s visits. That it will fold up is a plus, although it isn’t made for that on a daily basis. Have purchased 3 of this company’s other products in the last weeks, as they are indestructible kid’s furniture.

I first purchased one of these types of tables 30 years ago for my daughter. It was great for her projects indoors, then went outside for summer fun. As she outgrew it, the table became a place to hold BBQ items until ready for grilling, spending the rest of the time in our tool shed in freezing weather. Cleaned up now, it was fun for my granddaughter’s crayon time, although ‘beat up’ after all those years. It will stay outdoors now that we have a beautiful replacement.
